Lead Design & Engagement
Evansville, Indiana
2018
The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library (EVPL) is stepping up as a central hub for community collaboration, offering a space to convene, facilitate, and create solutions for the area's most pressing challenges. The library is all about building capacity across different organizations by aligning resources and intellectual capital over time to make a real impact.
Designed to solve the area's most pressing issues and foster innovation. The new Community Inquiry Lab, at about 7,500 square feet, will formalize the library’s role as a space where intellectual, technological, and physical resources can come together to address specific, outcome-based projects.
Leading the design and engagement for this space is W/Purpose Architecture and Public Design Studio, ensuring the design aligns with the mission of creating an adaptable, innovative environment. ThoughtFire is another key project partner, helping to bring these goals to life by strategically guiding the library’s community-focused initiatives. This space will serve as a powerful tool for collaboration and problem-solving, making a meaningful impact on the community.
